When will the library reopen?
We're aiming to reopen as soon as the floors finish curing. In the meantime, Summer Reading programs are happening off-site, and we'll keep you updated!
Can I still place holds?
Yes! Items that would normally come to Leeds will be routed to Trussville Library by default. You can also choose any other Jefferson County Library that's convenient for you.
What about "Return to Leeds Only" items? During the closure, those items can be returned to any library - no penalties.
What Happens to my current holds? The last day to pick up holds at Leeds is April 30. After that, any unclaimed items will be returned to their original libraries.
Will I still be able to call the library? Yes! We'll be answering phones throughout the closure. We won't have access to our shelves, but we're happy to help however we can.
Can I return books during the closure? Yes! The rear book drop will remain open. Plus, all May due dates have been extended to June - no late fees.
Will Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy still work? Absolutely! Your digital library is open 24/7 with audiobooks, movies, and more.
